The College of Central Florida is accepting applications for its 2014-2015 Community Arts Partners program through Feb. 18.

The program allows local arts organizations to hold performances and other events in the Charles R. Dassance Fine Arts Center or the Appleton Museum of Art for a free or reduced rate.

“This we are honored to support the Marion Civic Chorale, our 2014-2015 CF Community Arts Partner, and we will host their spring concert in May,” said Dr. Jennifer Fryns, associate dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences. “Becoming a Community Arts Partner gives a local performing arts organization a chance to try a new idea or refresh an existing program in a new environment without a great deal of financial risk. Take that risk away and that’s often when the most creative ideas can flourish. I am excited to see what kind of project proposals come in and thrilled that the college can support the local arts scene in this way.”

To be eligible for the partnership, an organization must be nonprofit. Preference will be given to local performing arts organizations, but other types of arts organizations will also be considered.
