Central Florida Community College will hold its spring "Faith-a-Palooza" interfaith discussion on Wednesday, March 31.
Community members are invited to share their thoughts and engage in discussion and light refreshments with representatives from a variety of local faith communities, CFCC students, faculty and staff from noon to 1 p.m. in the Ewers Century Center, Room 108, at the Ocala Campus, 3001 S.W. College Road.
The event is sponsored by the CFCC student club PANTS, Pantheist, Agnostic, Non-Theist Society. There will be no admission fee for this event, but canned food donations to support Operation Backpack are encouraged.
"One of the primary missions of the club is to reinforce the important values of tolerance and understanding through open dialogue with members of CFCC’s diverse faith communities," said Dr. Peter D. Smith, associate professor of Humanities. "Our intent is to encourage co-existence among neighbors of different faiths. This will provide the overarching topic for discussion, but we also hope that dialogue will be free-flowing."
