The College of Central Florida has announced the appointment of Marilyn Ladner as provost of the CF Levy Center and executive director of College Planning. Ladner is currently manager of Corporate Training at CF and will begin her job at the Levy Center in mid-August.
"Marilyn brings extensive academic and corporate experience to the position and I am always glad when, after a nationwide search, we can fill a position internally," said Dr. Charles Dassance, CF president.
Ladner has been employed by CF and has lived in Levy County since February 2006. In her new position, Ladner will oversee daily operations of the Levy Center as well as coordinate the college planning process.
Previously, she was senior vice president of Pan Am International Flight Academy’s Career Pilot Development division. She has more than 30 years of experience in training and administration at collegiate and commercial levels. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens and Master of Arts in Education from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
The Levy Center is located at 114 Rodgers Blvd. in Chiefland and provides college credit courses and a variety of noncredit programs including Adult General Education, Continuing Education and Corporate Training. A site has been secured for a new Levy Campus and construction will begin once additional funding has been secured.
